This page was produced as an assignment for Genetics 677, an undergraduate course at UW-Madison.

This website was created in Spring of 2009 as a project for Genetics 677: Genomic & Proteomic Analysis, an undergraduate course at the University of Wisconsin Madison taught by Ahna Skop, Ph.D. The goal of this website was an in-depth genomic and bioinformatic analysis of a human disease gene. For more information about the course, see the course website. There, you can also find links to the projects created by the other students in the class.

About the Author

Originally from Minnetonka, MN, Jenny is a 20 year old junior at the University of Wisconsin Madison, majoring in genetics and microbiology. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, baking, water skiing or cross country skiing (depending on the season), and spending time with her family and friends. Her future plans include pursuing a Ph.D. in genetics, and eventually, running her own research lab. She chose this course because she wanted to learn more about genomics and bioinformatics.
